Studies show that widowhood is common in older women rather than older men. Women who are 65 and over were three times as men of the same age to be widowed 42% compared to men to be widowed 13%. Researcher found that 91 percent of U.S. adults, about 50.5 million, used at least one medication regularly. Prescription medicines were used by 81 percent of adults, or 44.9 million older Americans.
